How to install MemOS
Install command, configuration and the one gotcha — taken from MemTensor/MemOS's own README, not invented here.

Install
Copy from your project's README (source: upstream). The README gives 2 install paths — pick the one matching your setup.
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add @memtensor/memos-cloud-dsh-plugin@latest
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh web
After installing, restart the DSH session. A plugin that is installed but does not load is almost always a profile mismatch — see nine causes of "plugin installed but not loading".
Configuration
MEMOS_API_KEY: mpg-your-key
memos-cloud:
apiKeyEnv: MEMOS_API_KEY
What it does
Add automatic recall, background capture, hybrid retrieval, and a local Memory Viewer to DeepSeek Harness—powered by the same MemOS core used across agent ecosystems.
MemOS is a Memory Operating System for LLMs and AI agents that unifies store / retrieve / manage for long-term memory, enabling context-aware and personalized interactions with KB, multi-modal, tool memory, and enterprise-grade optimizations built in.
Caveats before you install
- The upstream README is written in Chinese. The commands below are verbatim; the surrounding explanation on this page is ours.
- The command above was copied on 2026-10-25. If it fails, the README is the authority, not this page.
- This site does not execute plugin code. Install commands are reproduced, not tested.
